Some Change

Their are lots of new developments in my life, the biggest one being graduation. I have spent the past four years hard at work, towards two common goals. First to not be murdered by my parents, and second to get into college, and I am proud to report that I have met both these goals. In choosing my college I had the choice of Temple, University of Delaware, and York college of Pennsylvania. All of these schools are good choice but my final decsion  had to be the University of Delaware. Overall it is such a good school, even though it is a little bit close to home I feel the most comfortable here, and it is also quite a lot cheaper than all the other schools. And I plan to be living on campus as well, this
way I can get "the full college experience". This is best put by Andrew Shue "Life is the most exciting opportunity we have. But we have one shot. You graduate from college once, and that's it. You're going out of that nest. And you have to find that courage that's deep, deep, deep in there. Every step of the way." This I believe is what is meant by the college experience. Another big development in my life is my running. The spring track season has just ended so not I have to figure out how to run on my own and get my own motivation. Although I think this will be fine because I bought a pair of 1 inch shorts so I think I will have no trouble getting out their. The only thing I need to figure out is the work outs I need to be doing to truly stay in shape. If you have any suggestions feel free to share. The next part of change is actually finishing and leaving high school their are only two weeks left of high school and I can't wait to finish. I have spent way to long with a lot of the people in my class and it is time for a change. A lot of the people in my school I have known since 3rd grade and because of this it is time to meet some new people and find some new friends because my high school is just way to small. I have honestly been to secluded from everyone else and I need some new experiences to make life a little more fun. Finally this is my last blog I am pretty sure I have never missed a blog before so thanks for reading. And who is reading this from France knows whats up. And thanks Mr. Jadick it has been a really fun year in E110.

Summer Plans (Defiantly not forced to write this)

My final summer before college. Their has been a lot of different summers throughout the years but none like this. Overall right now their is only one rule for this summer you must have fun, and since my parents are not permitting me to go to the delaware beaches to "have fun" I have to make my own. So far I have planned to have my french foreign exchange student exchange Leo who is actually a really good friend, come over to spend three weeks with us. During these three weeks I am planning to go on a road trip across the great land of America. I am planning to have my brother, Leo, and I possibly drive up to Canada, overall I still haven't decided where to exactly go but right now I am really feeling Canada. The city I want to visit in Canada is Quebec mainly because to french speaking. This is probably my perfect destination to visit, but I don't want to drive through New York City or Boston. So that is a bit of a problem because that is the quickest route to Quebec, but I think I can drive up through Pennsylvania to see Niagara Falls first and then Quebec. You can defiantly say I am really looking forward to summer. That is my first vacation with just me while my second vacation will be the one with my parents.  The vacation with my parents is still up in the air right now my brother really wants to go out west and see California, Washington and New Mexico. This is also a really good idea and would be a lot of fun to see. I have been to New Mexico before, but it was an extremely long time ago. I had to be in at least 7th grade, I remember it being extremely fun and enjoyable. Mainly because of have beautiful New Mexico is, the mountains are by far the best part of New Mexico. My favorite part of the last trip to New Mexico was picking wild mushrooms on the side of a mountain, it was incredible. If we went to California I would really want to go and see San Fransisco, Los Angles, and possibly Santa Barbara. All of these cities are absolutely beautiful for the pictures I have seen. If I went to New Mexico I would really like to go back to Los Alamos, and Santa Fe. I have been to both of these places before and they are incredible amazing to see in person. If I was to go to Washington then I would really like to see Seattle. Seattle is one of those places I would actually consider living in. It is a really retro and vibrant place to live. But right now I really can't focus on what I am doing for summer just yet I have to get through high school first.

A Bit too Stressed

I am soon to graduating and this is a amazing but also extremely stressful. I have to finally decide where to go to college. Overall I am split between York and Temple, although at this point I am leaning more towards Temple. This is not as troubling as the mountain of tests and projects that are stacking up for this last marking period. I am hoping that the administration will understand that we are seniors and we need a little bit of leeway in the last marking period. Overall just feeling pretty stressed and I am in need of a break. Although I always feel this way in every beginning and end of a marking test.

New Band: Loud Thoughts

I recently just got back into playing in a band. Mainly because the jazz band I was playing in broke up. This band I am in right now is looking pretty good though, this time I am playing in a indie band which is a lot easier to play then jazz. So far our setlist is the Black keys, weight of love, Florence and the machine, ship to wreck, Blink 182 Damnitt, Alabama shakes hold on.  The setlist right now is pretty good I just don't like the song Damnitt, but when you're in a band there has to be some give and take. Overall I would really like to hear so of my audiences suggestion for what I should play.

My favorite music this week

Today I want to go over some more artists I am listening to this week:
1. XXXTENACTION-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wmjpp0_6kb0 - This guy is one of the most aggressive rappers I have heard. But you have to love it because of the emotion he puts into his songs. I don't know it is just great.
2. Post-Malone-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC4xMk98Pdc - I only recently got into this artist. But from what I have listen to so far he is a very mellow rapper.
3. Massive Attack-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7K72X4eo_s - This is a bit of an older band, but you have to love their hypnotic beats and melodies. This is overall my favorite trip hop band.
4. Tash Sultana- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0VTCSHr600 - This girl is her own band,  this link is to one of her live performance overall one of the most innovative Australian artist I've seen in a while. She calls her self "Indie Reggae"
5. Lil Yachty- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=251cxou3yR4 - This guy is super young and hated by a lot of people but I personally really like this guy. He has great beats and he is just really different from a lot of other rappers.
6. The Smith Street Band- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeR3jYPPeIo -  This band is great they have amazing lyrics combined with great riffs make them amazing to listen to. Defiantly one of the better bands I have seen in concert.
7. Sonic Youth - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvDuATZCY8I - Just started getting back into these guys, overall they are one of my favorite bands to listen to. Mainly because they are just so different from anyone else.
8.Alabama Shakes- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW0ZjNl-QW0 - The only way to describe them is 21st century soul. Their singer is absoulutly amazing, it gives me goosebumps when I listen to her sing, its crazy.

Sugar the root of all evil

This week I want to talk about the evils of sugar. After I watched this film called That Sugar Film, I decided to swear off sugar. After watching this film it taught me to really be aware of what I am eating. This is because large amounts of sugar the body can't process so it turns in directly into fat. Large amounts of sugar consumption can be attributed to obesity and diabetes. For me it is very difficult to give up all sugar, so I try to keep my sugar consumption below 20 grams a day, this my seem like a lot of sugar but if you think about it an average american eats 82 grams of sugar a day. The main way to stay away from all this sugar is to read the labels before you eat anything. Since I started this diet I have lost 10 pounds, it also helps to do some regular exercise as well. I am not saying avoid all sugar cause that is impossible, but limit yourself significantly.

Track

This week I started running track. Overall it has been a lot of fun, although it is a lot of running and sore muscles. Overall the track team is quite relaxed, you can go at your pace and as long as you keep a positive attitude towards the drills you will be fine. The first day start off pretty hecked with a a 5k around the school followed by a extreme core work outs. The second day we ran only to miles followed by some running drills and some long stretches.  Today I have no idea what we are going to do but I am so sore I can't wait for the weekend. Overall it keeps me motivated and ready for the challenge ahead.
